Frequently Asked Questions
What is Showgirl University?
Showgirl University is an educational and networking organization created to expand opportunities for the burlesque community. Slut Camp is our first event, and we hope to continue growing and building other burlesque events in the future.

Why do I have to apply before I can register?
Slut Camp was created with experienced performers in mind. Our application process helps maximize the value of the event and ensure the safety and comfort of all campers by limiting attendance to community members with at least a few years in burlesque.
Who is approving applications?
Applications will be reviewed by your Slut Camp Directors, Babes Flaming and Honey Maybe.

Can I apply or register in person?
Only approved applicants can register for the camp, and all applications and registrations are only available online. Additionally, since Slut Camp is an all-inclusive event, it is important for us to have a count of attendees and their needs in advance. Our number one goal is to keep attendees safe and comfortable throughout the event, and having a head count and a list of accommodation requests in advance helps us organize the fun, games, and good times in a way that works for all of our campers

Is Slut Camp a kink or BDSM camp?
While we certainly acknowledge and welcome the crossover between the two communities, Slut Camp is not a kink/BDSM event.

Where is Slut Camp?
The camp is situated on a sprawling 30-acre facility in Central Coast, California. The closest airport is San Luis Obispo (SBP). In between scheduled events, you’ll be able to enjoy quiet trails with breathtaking ocean views.
Is Slut Camp really camping?
Slut Camp was created to mimic the summer camps of our youth, with all of the dirt, activities and campfires that includes. Camp attendees will be staying in shared rooms with air conditioning, hot showers and flushing toilets. The campground also features both indoor and outdoor gathering spaces for education and activities, as well as amenities for enjoying your free time, including a pool!

Will there be air conditioning?
The grounds and rooms do have air conditioning. Central Coast weather is mild most of the year, including the weekend scheduled for Slut Camp. You may even want to pack a sweater or sweatshirt for the evenings.

Can I select my roommates?
Rooms sleep up to 5 people and will be assigned to campers at check-in. While we will consider roommate requests, we strongly encourage campers to interact with all camp attendees and foster new relationships and connections.

Is food provided? What about my food allergies/dietary limitations?
Slut Camp is an all-inclusive event and food is included in your registration. Meals will be provided Thursday evening, all day Friday and Saturday, plus Sunday morning. Food allergies and dietary limitations will be accommodated to the best of our abilities.

What else is included with my registration?
Scheduled events include everything you’d expect from the summer camp experience including educational workshops with top burlesque performers and educators, arts and crafts with supplies and materials provided, as well as organized games and activities. Most importantly, we want you to enjoy this immersive experience with other burlesque performers and forge lasting connections and memories! At Slut Camp, you'll be teamed up with 3 or 4 other campers. Your team will bunk together in a shared room and participate in camp activities together. An exclusive 2025 Slut Camp t-shirt will also be provided to camp attendees as a reminder of the good times!
